 
Captains Rick and Nick Stanczyk are born and raised Florida Keys natives. They grew up in Islamorada, Florida and attended Coral Shores High School. Rick Stanczyk went to Unversity of Central Florida for business and finished his degree in Business Administration through DeVry on-line. He also enjoys computers and helps with much of the office, website, and computer work at Bud n' Mary's. Nick Stancyk went to University of Miami and pursued his childhood interested in film and communication, getting his bachelors there. Their father, the legendary Captain Richard Stanczyk, who started a fishing charter business out of Pier 5, Miami, in the 1960s, started taking them out backcountry fishing at the early age of 3. He also has owned the world famous Bud N' Mary's Fishing Marina since 1978. Their uncle, Captain Scott Stanczyk, runs the Islamorada charter boat "Catch 22." They were soon fishing with him in the offshore waters of Islamorada on weekends when they weren't in school. They spent every summer fishing with their family in the Bahamas. They have both been featured in magazine articles, TV shows, newspapers, and the like. For the past few years they have both operated their own charter businesses out of Bud N' Mary's Marina.
